African Cultural Program
"The Love of Music is a very important part of life" is the message shared by our guest artists, ORISIRISI, as we celebrate the culture of Africa! Students learn from authentic stories, dance and songs that incorporate the Yoruba, Ibo and Hausa dialects (from over 300 languages) spoken in Nigeria, birthplace of artist "Tutu" Harrell. Joined on stage by her husband, Don, a gifted storyteller and musician who has taught African Studies at UCLA. Don't miss this exciting, fun interactive performance!

USA - Young Leaders in the Arts
An exciting, young artist Betsy Lin, was born in China and came to the United States at age 5. A concert pianist at 16, Betsy's already award-winning performances predict a very successful future! Q & A session at end of performance supports character-building behavior. Artist shares the values of studying for a bright future, creating personal goals and being a positive role-model in your school and community.
We are proud to debut classical pianist, Betsy Lin in ArtLife's Young Leaders in the Arts program.

Scotland-Ireland
Musical selections with performing artist Jim Sloan range from Scotland the Brave and Amazing Grace to traditional lively jigs, reels, strathspeys and contemporary arrangements. His demonstration of several types of bagpipes and how they are played is just one of the highlights in this moving presentation. You can feel the history of the highlands in every song and every note, as played by this master bagpiper.
